Yeah, DA:O is one of my favorite RPGs ever (I bought the first game at launch on PC; then again later on Xbox + all the DLC).  It says a lot that I have had absolutely no desire what-so-ever to play the sequel.

Honestly, if it wasn't part of the Dragon Age franchise, then it wouldn't had been a disappointment.  Sad

anyone played it ?
way to stay on topic guys.

Anyways , beat it twice now and enjoyed both paths (good guy, bad guy)
A bit short for DLC I thought though, only about an hour or 2 of gameplay. The weapon you craft is bleh. scales to whatever level you are when you start the DLC and even then its only a small margin better than what's available.
Boss fight at the end is fun.

3/5 stars ?

Off topic? In my BRBu? It's more likely than you think.

Did the DLC involve the Gray Wardens any? Did it actually continue the plot, or was it a "herp derp, Hawke also met this other chick in our vast, expansive travels across the same 3 dungeons, but I forgot to tell you until just now."

If it's the first selection, and there's no Merrill to be seen, then it might be pretty good DLC. Either way, it has to at least be better than the Witch Hunt DLC from origins.

no wardens and no plot development from the original story line. its the herp derp met another chick style, ity doesnt use any of the repetitive dungeons from the core content either if that helps. and the only way to have merrill involved is if you bring her in your party.

What the hell Merc, I slammed the shit outta Merill on the first playthrough. I even went against the grain on the good guy route and carved Fenris's heart out for her. Merill ftw!

I hated her so much that even her voice actor makes me quiver with barely restrained rage. Allow me to give you a play-by-play:
-
"Oh look Hawke, it's a mirror!" Merill said, her eyes askew in different directions. Hawke carefully looked over the elvin artifact.

"That mirror is evil, even your elf...grandma...leader chick said so. I'm keeping it away from you because you're a stupid elf that doesn't know to leave well enough alone." Hawke stated.

"I HATE U SO MUCH! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE." Merill seethed in a whiny tone as Hawke suddenly lost 35 friendship points from one action.

"Bu-but we were buds beforehand, and I picked all the paragon choices in dealing with this!" Hawke argued, "Garrus never gave me no lip for being the good guy! And don't even get me started on Anders in this game! Oy Vey!" Hawke groaned, longing for Mass Effect.
-

Yet somehow, she lived in my game, and I got to gut Fenris. There's no justice for the good guys, it seems. Least I got to get a pirate waifu out of the deal, even if it looked like she had a piece of corn below her lip.

even if it looked like she had a piece of corn below her lip.

Cannot be unseen.

As for the rest, I thought she was well acted and written; she had some of the best banter dialogue. I'm a sucker for the vulnerable types.

Maybe that's my problem. I despise the vulnerable types. I like my women like I like my coffee. Strong, with some chocolate. Doesn't have to be much, just some shavings at the top.

Edit: Ok, and some cream's pretty good too.

DA II is a disappointment.

DLC is pretty good so far. Nice side story.
