I don't believe that it can truly be called player appreciation month unless they start fix the things that the players have been telling them to fix. I'm still not bringing back the server. I might pop in to play now and again. But no server.

I was an optimist because it toted SOME features I reminisced about with BF2, I gave them a chance... they failed.

the game isn't outright bad... it's just bugged to all hell and the management is awful (like removing the ability to kick/ban people if you run an official server)

say what you will about cod phoning it in every release at least they don't release a broken product

oh let's not forget the leaked documents for youtube reviews where they paid for CPM (which is not unusual) but also made them agree not to talk about any bugs or crashes they experienced in addition to not talking about the deal at all

pc cod mp pops have been pitiful compared to console pops since they started releasing on console; most playlists on pc have barely anyone in them, and playabiltiy is heavily time of day-dependent. how about that

sales numbers seem to indicate that it is, as well as my own experience playing with an xim3 (which works very well, and xim4 for ps4/bone is nearing testing phase)

That is not console playing, that is using a PC interface.

Using a PC interface i will not mock you for. but playing an FPS on a console is allowed.

Using a controller is stupid.

Also, sales only indicate an over-saturation of the console market when it comes to gaming. It does not indicate a legitimately viable platform for honestly, and game type or mode. User Experience does, that being said, playing an FPS with a controller sucks, and is not a viable option (in my opinion), as every time I try, the user experience is horrible. The only thing that they have going for it, is auto-aim stuff. Which, as we all know is stupid and prevents people from being able to actually garner true skill.

Yep, adding in things like this is FAR more important than helping reduce latency, fixing the numerous other glaring bugs. Allowing servers to have the utilities to gain (and keep) population, and maintain their servers...

If ever I do enter into the arena of being the head of a game dev company if I ever signed anything with EA, it would include stipulations against EA exclusivity, or them having ANY control over ANY aspect of the game, they would basically end up with the same deal with me as they would with Valve, Box distribution only.
