Anyone here have any experience in converting a vintage tube amplifier from 2 prong to 3 prong and removing yea olde death cap?

I've come into possession of a beauty of a sound that likes to bite me with her electrical teeth. While I do think that death by amp electrocution in the middle of a Stones cover would be a great way to go, I think I want to get some more playing out of the amp first before that day.

No, gradmom is not ready to part with her Fender Twin Reverb, circa 1965ish. I think I will need to wait for her will to get my grubby hands on that.

Instead, I got the Gibson Ranger GA-20T, circa 1963ish, which the family never knew she had in the back of her closet all these years. For some wonderful reason, she was willing to give that to me.

You probably want to replace all the electrolytic caps as well. Might be worth taking to an amp guy out there. Jim Walton?
