The closest place to Stein and myself with 75mph limits is up where the people/sq. mi ratio is so low, the patrolling / speed enforcement is done via helichopper.

There's one cop who lives on one of the streets off of Main Street. Drives a red, late 90s, early 00s Jeep. He waves back at me still.
There's another cop who has a family member (I think? It might be he himself) that lives in that stretch too.

I believe the helicopter (which Portland PD sold the state IIRC) only patrols 95 now, and an inside source tells me they don't run it very much due to fuel costs.
But they used to run it on the 295 stretch through Portland. You may have noticed that they didn't repaint the distance marks after they repaved it.

This is a bug that Valve will fix in exactly 6.3 hours, real world time, not Valve time.
