Um, no.  I thought this was the "post your favorite food/recipe" thread.  I'm sorry for accidentally posting in the "let's measure our culinary cock" thread.

I just figured I'd ask since yer mentioning making more advanced food than the atypical gamer diet variety. The coq au vin (not a fan personally, tho I don't really like red wine) and lamb lollipops especially are what made me ask.

Oh. No. You. DiDn't.  So... You think just because I'm a gamer means I should only eat/make certain foods? Huh? HUH? Wow, that is stereotypical.

Well, since you're a squirrel furry, maybe you should only eat nuts.  How do you like that?

c wut i did there?

ps, Kor is always asking me to make salted chin-nuts for him. Do you know that recipe?

Yea don't mess with him.  Also in china they don't know what the fuck General Tsao's chicken is.  They got the man just not the food.

In other news - Guinness ice cream floats!! Try one today.  Some ice cream some chocolate syrup and a little piece of chocolate at the bottom as a present to yourself later.  I give it 5 out of 5 drunken hobos.

Bitchplz, get it right. I'm a kitsune/fox.

But yeah, I totally did. i was basing it off of..well... a lot of the rest of the thread. Some of the forum regulars seem to stick to the atypical gamer food. No offense was meant Rummy Big Grin.

It takes a lot more than that to offend me.  At least you didn't call for a "peameal bacon" cookoff.

I could eat sushi all day, every day.  I've been frequenting the sushi bar down the street from my apartment for about 5 or 6 years now, enough that we've warrented our picture on the wall and plenty of free food!  I love Japanese food in general, and it holds a special place in my heart since I really learned to cook when I was on my exchange program in Japan, living on my own.

If you can find a place that prepares it well, chirashi is an amazing (and often expensive...) meal.

I have a good sauce recipe. Sort of a sweet 'n sour thing.

Start with a base of ketchup (really to give it texture and thickness), then add lemon and/or lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and brown sugar.

No real quantities, I always do whatever I feel like. The ketchup makes up about half of the whole thing, and you add more sugar to make it sweeter as desired, and more ketchup if it's too thin and runny.

The hot sauce can make or break it though... you really shouldn't use anything with a strong taste to it. I'd recommend Marie Sharp's... it's probably some of the best hot sauce out there.

Goes great with baked potatoes, or just about anything you'd barbecue. ^_^

Red bananas are tasty, they are sort of tangy-sweet.  Gonna try and figure out a good use for them.

I was just listening to an NPR thing on this today LOL.  Basically your fine if you take some precautions.  But eating sushi like everyday is not recommended.

Yeah, eating any kind of fish every day is a bad idea.  I try to stick to once a week, in moderation.

Be serious folks. Alcohol has plenty of negative effects, but who stops drinking cause of those? Not me. Something has to kill me, but till it does I'm eating whatever the fuck I want. The only thing keeping me from eating sushi everyday is I can't afford it.

Fear mongering cock bags, this must be why Japan has the largest average life span of any nation on earth, all that poisoning in the seafood they eat
