Liquid is a really amazing sniper.  He was out shooting ZoSo for most of the game I saw him in.

I can see most people don't quite really understand the name liquid108. It does take a little figuring out though.

FACT: Fevers with infections don't cause brain damage. Only body temperatures over 108°F (42°C) can cause brain damage.
From: http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/pa/pa_feverpho_hhg.htm

When the body reaches this temperature brain matter itself starts to dissolve and turn into pure brain liquid so to speak causing severe damage to the brain.

Now you can ask yourself, what in tf2 causes "severe damage to the brain"?

ahem...
.........
Snipers.

I know people will be like "that is way too unrelated" but I wanted to come up with something more original than "sniperz4tehwin" or "ipwnbrainzloljk"

I am making a declaration that you and zoso may never be on the same team.  This will be quite handy from now on when a sniper is destroying me I can ask one of you to take care of the other

Mm. Pretty thorough. Very robust and filling, but I think it needs a little seasoning.

And... what's ironic about being surrounded by corn?

It's not even a real measurement.

I met someone here in Texas the other day, working as a cashier mind you, who didn't know what temperature water freezes at in Fahrenheit.

Oh snap... Barton Creek I think, the indoor mall. I had to go back there because I'd bought the place out the night before and I'd forgotten something there. We're like right near the Arboretum so it wasn't a big trip or anything. Very nice actually.

I work as a cashier, I don't know that temperature either. (I don't understand why the hell a cashier would NEED to know that temperature...)

But ya, I fucking hate the metric system.

I thought that the temperature water freezes at was a factoid that everyone knew, no matter what system they grew up using. I guess it's just easier in metric... being 0...  I thought it was one of those things like "1+1=2" that just... was jammed into everyone.

also I finally saw pterry's the other day and I hope to get to go there... thanks for the advice!

Slightly on-topic, if you live in the south where it never freezes, you really don't have a daily need to know the temperature at which water freezes. It's not like they have to deal with black ice or snow on the road on a regular basis.  If you have ever been below the bible belt when a surprise winter storm hits, you probably have seen how unprepared they are to drive in winter weather.

Slightly off-topic again, while searching for a good spelling bee image I found this McLovin. Looks like age-10 negate. Enjoy.

It shouldn't matter if you deal with ice and snow on the roads on a regular basis... you make ice in the freezer, don't you? You don't have days where the water is boiling outside and yet you probably know the temperature THAT occurs at, right?

I mean did you learn about the three "common" states of matter such as solids, liquids and gases? Freezing point would have been important there, too.

Saying that your school system sucks or you live in a place where it never happens shouldn't have that huge of a bearing on things. I went to a shitty school too where all the teachers were the same ones who taught most student's parents, where our books were just as old and their knowledge base was not more up to date... but we still learn from places OTHER than school.

I'm really not trying to be an ass, I guess I just don't see how this could not be common knowledge, bad school, warm climate, or otherwise.
