HL2 Mod: Blind Monk's Society

Just finished playing a single player HL2 mod called Blind Monk's Society.

It's quite a unique mod in that it's basically a blindness simulator. The screen is completely blank and you navigate by ear.
A set of headphones or surround-sound speaker set up is a must, but with headphones its pretty easy.
It took me about 15 minutes, but it could take less or more depending on how in-touch you are with your inner blind man.

That may not sound like much fun, but it's pretty well made and, considering its an ametuer mod, pretty well written/voice-acted.

Just give it a go and I guarantee you'll do a little jig when you finish  ;D

I tried it at one point, but I kept getting lost and losing track of where I was supposed to be, then mishearing instructions (or not hearing them at all), and being completely confused as to what I should be doing. So I gave up and didn't try again. :-\

Same. Really cool idea though. Better headphones might have helped.

It would have been neat if you could watch a replay with your vision back. Just so you can see how badly you did. I'm pretty sure that when the pirate attacked me I walked off the dock into the lake.

I get stuck when I have to follow the guy on the riverbank or whatever. YES I KNOW THAT'S THE BEGINNING.

I spazed for a minute thinking my browser was broken when the SS was just black.  Go go reading everything before freaking out.
