Camus is fantastic. The Fall is my favorite work by him.

It wasn't The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks was it?
It was
I disagree with your opinion. I believe said book is, in fact, quite awesome.
Yeah parts of it i liked, but the part that annoyed me the most was "Obey the law"

I can't stress enough how stupid that was
That book along with World War Z was such bullshit.  For a guy supposedly writing about "real" zombies he doesn't seem to understand that long term freezing would kill them.  And many other errors.
Inaccuracies??? IN MY ZOMBIE FICTION THAT WAS CREATED IN THE AUTHOR'S OWN WORLD WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE A CORRELATION TO THE REAL WORLD? Preposterous!
It would be easily forgivable if he wasn't trying to write a SURVIVAL GUIDE.
A survival guide for his personal beliefs as to what a zombie is and what guidelines they follow and such. Lose the all caps and lets be big boys. Hell, there are many fucking versions of zombies that range from magic to virus', don't try to rationalize it now.

On another note, The Great Shark Hunt by Hunter S. Thompson isn't that bad. Sure, some stories are kinda dull, but some are quite entertaining.

I've been blazing through the Song of Ice and Fire series since just before the holidays.  On book three now, and have already got book 4 on the shelf waiting for its turn...

Wait until you finish and then you too can grow to hate George RR Martin for not finishing the next one.

Contents contain Art, Art history, Art Critics, fucked up relationships, drug use, crime, lots of drinking, a fair share of sex, mental illness, metaphysics, nazis, mobsters, and the philosophy of the meaning of life and self.

I'm not a big Art guy, but I was more than pleasantly surprised by this. Terrific read, and the kind of book that you can debate "what really happened?" like the movie Memento.

Just started 'Equal Rites' and got half way through it today. It's very bloody funny.

Signature temporarily out of order until I get off my lazy ass to fix it.

Reading Perfume by Patrick Suskind (U has the two dots above it but I forgot the alt code). This book is... detailed. Lots of smells and such, I'm only 60 pages in (about 1/4th of it) and it's dragging. On the bright side, I also have to read Paradise Lost. So maybe it's like... the slightly less boring of 2 borings.

Reading Battle Royal at the moment. It is fantastic so far (I just finished part 1, which is about 12 chapters long).  My only concern is that it may drag on at some point since it's around 600 pages long.

Also, if you haven't seen it watch the movie which is quite well done.

Existentialism... awwwright!!!

Anyway, worked my way through Vonnegut's "Bluebeard," an interesting take on expressionist art and such.  Helped put it a little more into perspective anyway.  Also, "The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress" which is fantastic Sci-Fi, interesting premise, well put together, I heartily recommend it.  Right now working on "House of Leaves."  It's some pretty deep psychological horror, and the way the book is put together is like nothing I've really ever read before.  Looking forward to finishing it.

Just finished By Heresies Distressed by David Weber, part of the Safehold series which is a more mature version of his Dahak series.

For a taste of Weber and others, quite a bit of stuff can be found at baencd.thefifthimperium.com  not to mention all the books at www.baen.com/library
