Also I guess I will have to finally learn some latin :-\ |

Even the most high-end, Vault-10 kind of firms is collaboration on a single document. That means in a 200-300 page document, you have 50 or so individuals all writing different pieces, and then another group coming in and cleaning up loop-holes and mistakes. That is working for a law firm. I have a great example of the above kind of document if you want to see it (a public document). If you are working for a corporation, you are going to be filling out a lot of forms. Corporations all over the world send out BOATLOADS of these, I get the distinct displeasure of having to read them: http://www.sec.gov/about/forms/form8-k.pdf http://www.sec.gov/about/forms/form10-k.pdf I mean if you really want to debate ideas, getting a Masterâs in Philosophy may be more fun. If you want to succeed in Law, you need to be either one greedy son of a bitch, or you adore proofreading. Original ideas and concepts in Law are left to a few shining star Clerks to SOTUS. If you really want to learn what lawyers talk about, read this blog every single day: http://abovethelaw.com/ |

I think it depends on the type of attorney you are. The guy I met with that was a family friend told a much different story. It was about presenting a winning argument in the least amount of words as possible and backing it up with other decisions. That's the kind of thing I'm drawn to but it means I will have to be a litigator.

I turn 20 tomorrow.
Did the whole gift thing early since I work/school all day. Got an awesome pair of speakers with a subwoofer, it makes even youtube sound like sex. Too bad I can't turn da music up nice and LOUD (or atleast as loud as my old crappier speakers) without pissing off my nice neighbors next door due to the bass Also got ME2 and a mouse for my netbook. WooT! |
