Come back when you develop something really cool, like the artificial womb, or like...cloning, or biological immortality.

Curiosity is cool and all, but the higgs.....

Biology will never be as cool as physics.  The big stoy this year AFAIK in biology is that we discovered how memory works (with some help from Mr. THC).

Physics discovered why mass exists.

Fixed that up for you.

Satire aside, the first thing NASA will do is share it Curiosity's discoveries with the world, despite your attempt at nationalistic possession. Exploration and the wonders revealed are the province of humanity as a whole.

Yes.

Let us all now bow our heads and take a moment of silence to praise our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we got to Werner Braun before them Russkies. Thank yee, Space Jesus, for delivering Christian Nazi Rocket Scientists unto America.

From the fruit of Braun's loins, America rocketed straight upright into the Heavens. And though them Russkies came first to orbit, their premature apex did NOT land them on the Moon. Oh NO. For we, the Americans were the first and only to give the Moon the facial treatment. And in doing so we showed the world, so thoroughly and so convincingly with "American Science," that there was nothing on the Moon worth investing significant resources toward.

Now, them Canadiens, learned from the Great Americans that there was nothing worth exploring on the Moon, given that those Canadiens possessed neither the climate nor latitude for a suitable exo-orbital launch station, nor did they possess the rampant development of ICBM technologies that could also deliver stuff into space when not carrying a nuclear payload. So, what did these Canadiens do with their resources instead? Why, nothing so divine and powerful as rocket technology, no, they merely proved what Jesus already taught us that it is possible, and kind, to love thy neighbor. Yes, through a universal healthcare system they proved what most good Christians already know, that caring for thy neighbor is easy. But easy ain't going to GET YOUR ASS TO MARS.

Customer said "Oh thank you for putting the thing back online! It would have been several thousand dollars to recover!Would you guys like some Cookies and Candy and stuff?" I say yes because I can be a hero of the department and I get a note "Sorry for this not being the crap food you thought you wanted, here are some goodies to get you going! Try Crossfit! seek a local instructor, in your area!"

Jerky.
Granola.
Coconut strawberry and jerky fitpacks.

So now my manager hates me for telling him there was cookies in this box but hey, free beef jerky. I'm like the only person who's okay with this.

I'm not too sure about the yummy coconut beef jerky berry flavor combo will go down. Seems like it would come back up. :-X

While I understand that your post is written mostly in humor, I would like to add that Canada also built the landing gear on the Apollo landing module, so we technically landed there first.

There is a contractor working in the clinic I'm in right, he's like all star application support, because rolling out EHRs is all he has done for like 3 years.  He's very likeable, cordial, almost overly polite.  Then one day he said it; "Oh, I grew up in Canada, I have dual citizenship" and literally EVERYONE in the clinic went "oooooooooooh, that explains it."
