Party, Booze, and Event List

I am pleased to announce to anyone that may have not been reading groupme that we DO have the presidential suite.

An email was sent out to people who has been booking for several years (and who also had previously gotten suites) that there were several upgrades available and we jumped in an got the same VIP suite (Confirmed w/wetbar) as we have gotten in previous years.

This tells me that the con DOES NOT pull the suites, we just got very very unlucky. The webform never has them and the operators I feel can be super hit or miss with regards to booking.

Either way - massive party is good to go!


However, with the way rooms are set up at the moment - we have a bit of a conundrum.  We need to make sure that Atom, who has the room in his name, is not stuck carrying a bill for the full room. And if people absolutely object to (or want to be) in/next to the party room for sleeping we need to know asap so we can reshuffle room assignments.

Here is how I envision this working out...

The two back rooms of the suite will *NOT* be open for the party, they will be the private sleeping areas for those sleeping in the room. There will be no splitting off for the beer tasting, etc. as in previous years. We will keep everything to the main room. This should allow some amount of quiet and privacy for the people sleeping in those areas.

We will get extra keys for the main party room - this will allow the party to be (mostly) accessible at all hours. Im not sure if we can get the 30 or so keys we'd need for everyone, but we could easily get 15 or so to distribute around.

Napkin math for the suite means that if divided evenly between all attendees who are not staying in the suite that we'd all owe in $70 to cover the shortfall for the weekend.

$750/night for the suite minus $140 a night for the double, then multiplied by three nights and divided by the current count of attendees minus four people who are staying in the room.


If anyone would like to make a special contribution above that, please let me and Atom know via PM or email - we will need to get to roughly $1830 total to cover all the overages.

There will be a meeting this Thursday 4/28 at 8pm CST to discuss this and shuffling the rooms further. It is very important that you attend this meeting if possible.

Please review - we need contributions to belay the cost of the suite, if you can please add in a contribution. If we do not meet the goal everyone else attending the con will be assessed whatever is leftover or you will not be allowed into events / the party

I just realized I hecked up and got my plane flight for Wednesday night when I don't have my room until Thursday, will there be someplace I can stay Wed night?
