Got a offer for the new job, its a 70% reduction in commute distance and 25% bump in salary.

But...I'd get a lot less vacation and I'm not 100% sure on how flexible they are with their hours. Irregardless I'll probably take it.

This is Caff you're talking about, and you're surprised irregardless? Funny stuff.

You should find out about their hours flexibility, but the combination of reduced commute distance and pay increase stacks, so you're actually looking at a much more significant increase than 25%. Is it more interesting stuff than what you're doing?

I still think it will be pretty boring but it will be a bump in responsibility and pay.

As for grammar, when is a word considered a word?

Websters recognizes it as a word that is "used infrequently", I also remember this being called "not a word", but it is recognized as well.

In short, any utterance of letters that is understood in the common vernacular is a word. Deal with it grammar nerds.

I figured out the trick to getting a good bi-yearly review - the main reason my boss had been marking me down was because whenever he spoke to me on the phone, I never sounded enthusiastic, so he didn't think I was getting anything done. If I sound like I know WTF I'm doing, or at least have a plan, I get good marks. Except for my car, I got a 1/5 for having reliable transportation because it keeps breaking down D:

4 grand and it's yours. You'll also need to replace the tie rods, front suspension, ball joints, and power steering pump.

DAWG
[/quote]I've already got those repairs to deal with, without having to invest the $4k for the car itself. Thanks though.

Saw a piece of history with HeK today at the air museum.

We saw a 1945 Lancaster Bomber and even crawled around inside it. It was actually pretty awesome.

Webster says "guesstimate" is a word, too, and that doesn't stop me from hating it. I know that English is a constantly changing language and that there's no strict law as to what is or is not a word; I just hate stupid words. And when people say "lol" out loud. That's like "Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game" level of idiocy.

Stuff like that is so cool.  I've been lucky enough to get into a B-17 before, and it was amazing.  They actually flew in to the airfield we were at, it was so amazing.

This one flew in the day before, however I missed it landing because I was in the basement of my building.

It is one of the only two still flyable Lancasters (the other in Britain) and the only one that gives tours.

The one near me is one engine away from being air-worthy.  Last time I saw it start up I donated some money towards rebuilding the last engine 8)
