To anyone who hasn't figured it out yet, it's a Chevy Lumina. A 98 Lumina to be exact. Funny thing is we used to have a green Lumina until it died a few years ago. The nice thing about this is that it has a CD player. Our old one did not.

Also this one has 130,000 miles on it.

The most overlooked part of vehicle ownership is the proper maintenance and care. There's a bit more to it then just oil changes and the majority of it can be done in your back yard with hand tools, no mechanic needed.

I suggest a good Repair Manual, decent set of ratchets and wrench, a hammer, pliers and a sack of rags.

Plus fixing your own stuff is manly.

Aside from a few things that are broken in the car (drink holders, ac vent, buttons are loose) the car's in really good shape. The previous owner was a mechanic.

A thousand times this. I used to think that all cars were destined to suck after a few years, and it turned out I was killing them with neglect. Now I'm invested in doing it myself as much as possible, because motorcycle maintenance is far too expensive at the shop.

RE: Suspected illegal immigrant.

Dear Jan Brewer,
I am writing to applaud you on your new enhanced gestapo search and interrogation policy intended to harass beaners keep America pure. In that vein, I am concerned that my neighbor may be an illegal. He sure acts weird enough. He drives a 1998 White Chevy Lumina, AZ license plate 551 AXW. I suspect he might also smuggle drugs inside of his person.

Thank you in advance for altering the state troopers to check him out.

Sincerely,

Donald Rumsfald.

Kirk's not coming back because he's having enough sex with hot martians to not care about some pussy star fleet.

Just got myself a new mechanic's tool set, a 3 ton jack, some jackstands, and a creeper today. I may attempt to replace my own brakes  :-X

Had better be an aluminum jack, steel ones suck.

Have fun, wheel-bolt boy.

Might seem weird but I find replacing brakes on a car somewhat relaxing....I used to do it every time my dad asked me. I also put the winter tires on...yet I hate driving so much
