I think I've been selected as prey by a Cougar. She used to work as a dominatrix, too. Hrm.

My brand new $99  gas engine bolted to my broken free snowblower perfectly.

Now to get a belt pulley.

My snowblower now works perfectly, is extra dangerous and way over powered!

But I got a flat tire Sad

Too much suction wrapped the tire around the intake chute and snowblowed it? ^.^

The bead was broken on both lips, I'm either going to get an inner tube from a store well across the city, or try this:

Repairing a wheel using gas and a lighter
[/quote]

DOES NOT WORK AT -20!

Now I need to refill a fire extinguisher.

how'd your hotel lose the luggage? I'm intrigued as I've only ever lost luggage at the airport lol

Furry convention at the Fairmont in San Jose. I live locally so I rode there, and talked to the bellhops. They allow people who aren't staying there to check luggage. I checked my helmet, jacket, and a bag with my boots and gloves. They gave me a claim check that said clearly "3 pieces".

When I felt tired and decided to leave for the night, I presented the bellboy with the ticket. And he brought back the helmet and jacket. (2 pieces, for those of you playing along at home)

I had a long chat with the bell captain and then the front desk manager. He promised to look for the items. I said I would wait.

A big fella looming around their front door looking angry wasn't their preferred decor, so the front desk manager came back outside while I was waiting for the luggage. I told him that his staff's inattention had stranded me; I wasn't about to ride without boots or gloves, and my bike would remain parked until I got my gear back.

He offered me a taxi ride back home, on the house, which I accepted. He offered further to make it round-trip, so I could get my spare gear and take the taxi back to the parking garage, then ride home. I declined, as I was too tired by that point, and got in the taxi and went home for the night. (I tipped the driver anyway.)

Over the rest of the weekend I came back to the hotel every day. I continued to check my riding gear as luggage this time, only I came to talk to the front desk managers on duty, and asked THEM to unlock the luggage vault and personally carry my stuff in. I also checked with the convention ops desk, convention security, and convention newsletter, offering a reward.

They asked me for the value of the missing items and I gave them the Google Shopping links. (Racer High End gloves, Sidi Vertigo boots, Nelson-Rigg rain suit) They said I'd get a check in the mail. And they were true to their word.

Campus-wide snow day! Two years in a row, which never happens here.
I'm going to get some TF2 hours in, finally.

Originally I was going to be getting out of work at like 10am to bring my dad to his colonoscopy, but work canceled yesterday and the doctor didn't, so here I am in the waiting room watching it snow like a motherfucker outside.

Some other family was here for a while too, they brought their 2 young sons in with their DS's, while I have my 360 controller with me for SNES emu time. After about 2 minutes they both were ignoring the DS's in favor of watching me play Super Mario World 2

With a -25 windchill, schools would have a "cold day" here since you're able to get frostbite within 15 minutes of being outside. Can't have those childrens fingers noses falling off.
