Took a mock AP English exam and got a 5 on it. I'm so ready to rape that shit.
My other classes are going to be a bit tougher, though.

School was giving out free Chinese food to those who completed their course evals. Guess who got enough food to last him until his dad picks him up tomorrow? Two thumbs, this guy.

Get home today, Western Digital box on my porch.


RMA'ed a 1TB drive, get a 1.5TB replacement drive.


So, here's my mental scorecard for Western Digital thus far;


1) Only 1.5 out of > 24 WD drives over a decade have failed on me

2) They processed my RMA in < 12 hours

3) RMA process consisted of them sending me a replacement before I send dead drive back

4) They ship replacement drive to a home user via 2nd day air (Expected ground express, what with me not being a business or major enterprise)

5) Get a larger replacement drive than dead drive


Been a fanboy of WD forever because of the 5 year warranty I've never needed before now, now going to be BFF with WD after this experience.

Wow, this drive got a heavy redesign. There's now what I can only assume by it's thickness to be a metal heatsink on the top of the drive over the platters, it's a good half pound heavier than the 1TB copy, the PCB is fully 20% bigger.


Old drive says revision # 701640, replacement is 771624, how many goddamned ECN's does WD roll out a day? This drive isn't even a year old!
