Getting suspended didn't do me a lick of good until I kicked the shit out of a bully, then when we were both in the Vice Principal's office, made a pact with him to say it was all a misunderstanding to keep us from both getting suspended (if I'd been suspended one more time, I'd have been sent to remedial school). THEN shit stopped.

I'm glad I always fought like a gentlemen at an agreed location outside of school grounds.

The only time I didn't like my chivalrous attitude is when I was jumped by 5 people. Good thing I was still big enough back then to grab the dude by the arm when he tried to choke me, and used his body like a weapon against the other 4.

I had a few physical fights in school. I was picked on a lot and at first I was just trying to keep them away from me.

The one I remember best was hardly a fight. Some guy found me hanging out under the monkey bars on some play equipment and started teasing me like crazy. I just snapped, had enough, and happened to be wearing some big Doc Martin boots. I grabbed the monkey bars above me and just kicked as hard as I could. I got him right on the kneecap, and he was unable to play hockey for at least a month after that. However, we became pretty good friends once he got his wake up call, so all is good. I don't regret that at all.

I don't even think he told on me, pretty sure he just got a wake up call that he was being a dick and not everyone would take it laying down.

Looks like the drive didn't go 100% belly up, I'm currently copying everything I can off it after installing Win7 on the free space on one of my storage drives... at 12MB/s

Took 11 hours of scandisk last night to get it to operate.

Thank god for Netflix.
