Go out the back door to shoot this squirrel who's outside making the 'gtfo this is my tree I'mma kick yuor ass' screech over and over and over and over outside my window, and this decidedly extra large dragonfly takes off from the brick chimney to my left and buzzes around me  once or twice then lands on the end of my rifle barrel facing me like "sup bro?"

So I go and try to find the squirrel who's by this point made a really smart move and stfu'ed, so I walk around the house and go to go back inside.

Dragonfly is on the chimney again, and again takes off and starts to buzz me really close to my face, he pulls back and hovers a few feet above me, so I stick my finger up like a bird perch and he lands on my fucking finger.

I back up to the porch stairs slowly and carefully and take a seat. We sat there for like a good minute and a half just bro chillin' and checking each other out. Dragonflys cock their heads sideways from side to side when looking at things like dogs do when you make squeal-y noises at them btw.

I reach into my pocket really slowly for my phone with it's shitty 640x480 camera, and wouldn't you know it, it's inside the house.  :-\

I never left.  I just travel around to different parts of Afghanistan.  It's actually pretty cool, I've probably been to more places than any other LT in the country.  My playground covers 4 different brigade AOs.
