I have an ex who had a thing for A2M. Those were some fun times.

Related to thread but not previous comment, Singapore was awesome, 10/10 would go again.

Pulled the trigger on two tickets to Southeast Asia for me and the GF for 2 months..
Adventure awaits!
Has anyone been? Any advice?

I lived in SE Asia for seven years. Where exactly are you headed?

We land in Bangkok, from there we're going to be heading to Krabi, then (maybe) indonesia, then vietnam, cambodia, chang mai and back to Bangkok, spending anywhere from 5-7 days in each place.. We're keeping our plans flexible. I'm sure singapore is awesome, but because I've heard we've heard it's the most expensive destination in SEA we're going to skip it, and we're skipping phuket as well because phuk dat. For the most part, I'm trying to avoid making the party scene any kind of an even remote focus for this trip.
Looking forward to the temples (Angkor Wat, Tiger Cave, etc) and I've heard renting a motorcycle in Cambodia / Vietnam for a couple of days is an awesome time. And hopefully we can score one of those beach huts on the islands near Krabi for a couple of days.

I've never been to Thailand so I can't help you there. I spent most of my time in Indonesia and Singapore. The Borobudor and the Prambanan near Yogyakarta are pretty cool. There are a lot of Hindu temples in Bali as well as the monkey forest in Ubud if you can make it out there. Lots of other cultural stuff to see, too. Kecak dance, gamelan, and food. Nasi goreng.

[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/deejay_quest/r-dnb-winter-compilation-2014[/soundcloud]

The sub-reddit for drum & bass, /r/dnb, put together their first compilation album of user submitted tracks back in the summer. It was fairly successful, so they decided to do another one for the winter. Anyways, I had submitted one of my tracks for shits, and I actually made it on there (46 minute mark). Smile

Pretty much any of the performances you can see are amazing. I think they occasionaly do a wayang kulit performance of the Ramayana outdoors near the Prambanan. Definitely something to look into. If not, any rendition of the Ramayana is a good thing to check out whether it's shadow puppets or dance.
