TF2 runs 100% A-okay online.
L4D runs 99% A-okay singleplayer, but when I go online it freaks the fuck out at some random points and lags for up to 15 seconds at a time, then be totally fine for another 10 minutes. And 90% of the times it happens is only when I'm a survivor. Whats going on here?

I don't think its a connection issue because when I played with Luca on a good server I lagged nonce.

Try disabling multicore threading or whatever the option is in the video options. Apparently it's still buggy for a lot of people, I had this issue too and it worked fine after I turned it off.

If it is the stuttering bug, it usually last for a temporary amount of time..you just have to deal until it comes out..usually 30 seconds to a minute..which prety much sucks in L4D...but ya know.

I get that, too, but it never lasts more than 10 seconds. Still really freaking annoying, though. I'll try turning off multicore and see if it stops.

My friend had this issue.

She fixed it by getting up-to-date invidia video drivers, and it never came back again.
