PS Saturdays - 4/4/09 - Contest Bonanza

This Saturday there will be two contests running, both relate to the number of people that come out to play. In an effort to boost attendance both in the short and hopefully long term if fifteen people show up Atomsmasher has graciously said he would do a random drawing for any steam game of $30 or less. If twenty people show, then I will do a drawing for any steam game of $50 or less.

In order to count someone must actually get in game and into the squad/platoon, simply being on ventrilo trying to get in will not count, so make sure you try in advance to get the game to work properly, I will be available for troubleshooting and guidance on steam. It also does not count if 20 people sign on over the course of the night, all players must be on at the same time.

That being said we are going to do whatever the situation dictates for us to do in game, whether that be vehicle columns, gal drops, or picnicking, hopefully with a focus on screwing with the other two factions. I'd also really like to see 20 people loaded all into phantasms that would definitely be a hoot.

If you plan on participating this weekend I highly recommend you trouble shoot getting the game to run before the last minute, as it can be finicky, as well as familiarize yourself with ventrilo if you don't have it. And lastly, take a trip to the nearest Best-Buy to get a microphone if you don't have one.

Fun in this game increases exponentially with the more people that join up so I hope to see more of the people that stated they were interested in the initial thread to come out, the game is FREE, but you are restricted to 14 days after which you will have to start all over again. If you get "suspended" or banned since the trial accounts are loopholes just make another one. Conversely you can spend $20 to pick up the game at direct2drive, which comes with a free month, this allows you to keep your character instead of having to re-level someone every 2 weeks.

Hmmm... I'm going to try to come out for this, but I'll be on earlier and likely will be leaving at or shortly after the "official" start time (which is 9pm for me), as I have a birthday party to go to. I'll probably show up around 4-5 cst, but if nobody else is on I doubt I'll stick around.

So... maybe I'll get to play with some of you, but don't count me in for the contest.
