Jawesome.  Sanford beat Daigo with Cammy twice =D. (shut up I know Daigo has never really played Cammy)

Also it's hilarious because now people think Cammy is OP which is a sad sad joke =<.

I'm not sure where the surprise is that Cammy is a good character.  You're right she isn't OP but she's always been hard to fight against.

On another topic, two things I wish for in SSFIV:  Make Kens eyes brown.  I don't know who dropped the ball on this one but during the anime scenes his eyes are brown, in every other SF game his eyes have
been brown yet his character model has blue eyes.  WTF Capcom.

And number 2:  Please give Ken an ultra that doesn't suck Sad
You mean the hurricane kick one in SF III?
Sort of.  It doesn't have to be too damaging just let me chain it in better.  If I nail someone with a deep fierce punch I should be able to ultra in.

Maybe a modified shoryureppa...
You're not supposed to be able to combo an ultra like a super. Ultras do more damage, so you can't combo them the same way. That's why they added in FADC. Even then, trying to link an ultra with a fancy combos scales the damage down quite a bit. Abel can do FA, cr.FP, ultra, and it will not do a lot of damage. Same for Ryu if he tries to do something fancy into an SRK FADC ultra.
Yeah you're just supposed to be able to link into it off a simple easy to hit non FADC move if you're Ryu, Sagat, Rufus or Viper... while Ken doesn't even have a very useful FADC to Ultra.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Squishy3 - 10-18-2009

Ken can FADC his ultra, I just don't know what you have to do to get the full animation since I don't play Ken. (Don't tell me this can't happen, I saw it in person at SBIV from a Ken player multiple times.) Also in tournaments you'll barely ever get AA jab dp ultra because everybody practices their footsies and doesn't rely on jumping in too much.

Yeah I guess although from SF alpha to SF3:TS you could jump in and combo like this easily.  But since I am wrong on my original statement, I just think its lame that certain people can do simple moves to knock someone into the air to land their ultra yet you have to be super precise to do it with Ken.  Otherwise you just get the "up" damage from his Shinryuken that barely takes off 15% health.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Wedge - 10-18-2009

Hahahahaha Justin beat Daigo by going with Fei Long.  Console players have him so lost.  He almost lost to a Gen player earlier in the tourny too.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Squishy3 - 10-18-2009

Skisonic just clarified that Daigo does own the console version but doesn't get a lot of live opponent practice against console characters.

ps daigo probably downloaded the necessary information he needed

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Wedge - 10-18-2009

Yeah Daigo came back and won from Losers bracket, not surprising he'd win after playing that many matches.  Also shows how bad Capcom handled the console characters though, since Justin lost a lot from execution on super hard links and overly complex move inputs more than anything else.

No, it's every character that has 1-frame links like that. Justin lost the chickenwing combo more than anything. However, that is a one frame-link, and you've got to practice that stuff in training mode and in real matches against real people to get that stuff down 100%. Daigo put in the time for his one-frame links, and he's married. Daigo literally kept on performing constant 1-frame knockdown links (jab-jab-medium punchx2, cr. roundhouse.) and kept on getting applause for it just because that stuff's so hard to do.

Yeah um linking off a jab isn't the same thing as linking off a variable hit range EX special, it's much harder since you can't just hardcode the timing like a shitty low jab combo.  That and shit like the retarded input for chicken wing, especially with the mess they made of inputs on SF IV.  There's no reason he can't just have a QCF chicken wing when he doesn't even have any other kick move specials that go that direction (which didn't they give him that for HDR?).

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Wedge - 10-19-2009

God fucking dammit Capcom.  Frankly I would be happy if SSFIV had absolutely nothing else other than allowing you to tweak it's move input settings/move priority.  How in the world can I have the EXACT SAME INPUT SEQUENCE SHOW in training, but get a different move every time?

They're removing the DP shortcut, if that makes you happy.

Maybe this will make the game playable for me again ;___;

I'm so happy

Where did they say this?  Did you ask Seth at SB4?  And if that' means I'll get Ultra instead of EX CS, then yes, I'm very happy.
I did ask Seth, but he wasn't able to comment at the time. However, I remember reading in one of the multiple interviews with Ono that popped up that he talked about removing it. I just don't remember which one.

Is that the same thing as the SRK shortcut?

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Versus - 10-20-2009

dp = dragon punch = shoryuken = srk
Might as well start learning how to do one properly now. since you have HD remix that's a good place to actually learn it

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - K2 - 10-21-2009

The DP shortcut was sometimes useful, but I don't really care as long as they keep the 360° shortcut. That made me go from hating Zangief to loving him.

So yeah...apparently copying over your Street Fighter 4 folder in your my documents won't transfer your save data Sad

Just upgraded my computer to windows 7 and I lost everything.  Ugh....
