I saw the few rules on the front page from the last tournament, but since I joined after this happened I have a few questions.
What gen will we be using? I am assuming generation five since the games just came out, but gen 5 doesn't have level 100 battles anymore.
Due to this I have another question, what is the stance on Pokesav? I don't really have the time to train seven Lvl. 100 EV trained Pokemon in the time allotted. Are there any other rules besides the ones posted on the first page of this thread?

I'm pretty sure Gen V has level 100/50 flat battling over wifi, but not local, or maybe they are?
I've not actually tested it but there's a thread on smogon that's the top from after the game's US release detailing some rules....especially since the official tournament rules that Nintendo puts forward require flat battling (50...100...doesn't matter either way, so long as everything is the same level).
Possible Restrictions:
Borderline Tier or Lower - Makes for more interesting team mix-ups, but fitting Gen V in will be a bit difficult
Gen V Only - Could be interesting since things have not panned out yet regarding the gen's tiers and movesets
Other than that standard rules:
- Sleep Clause
- Evasion Clause
- No Ubers
- No duplicate held items
- No duplicate pokemon
Other Ideas:
- Triple Tournament - Bring 6, Pick 3
- Rotation Tournament - Bring 6, Pick 3
Pokesave - lol no, yea, watch my throw out my 31 IV in each stat technician bullet punch scyzor >:|
If I'm correct that Flat Battles are still in the game (oh noes its lv50 instead of lv100), then there should be no need to pokesav. Also Gen V experience mechanics are much more forgiving. You could easily EV train and level something to 50 in maybe 3 - 4 hours if you use the daily 15 - 20 trainers that show up in the small and large stadiums.

I'm referring more to something obtainable but nearly impossible stats, you can get something with 31 IVs across the board, but the chance is so remote as to be ridiculous. That's more of what I'm referring to, beneficial nature + 31 perfect IVs.
You can pokesav or 500mb.us it sure, and have it pass legality checks, but that's no fun is it :-*

I don't see any reason why not to allow Pokesav. If everyone has perfect IVs/natures it just levels the playing field more as opposed to forcing people to breed forever for good IVs. Also EV training is still boring as fuck. I've got four Pokemon EV trained and I want to kill myself from boredom.Â

Not having access to unsecured wifi means I can't trade for pokerus, and you also have to factor in grinding battle subway for the items themselves.Â

Who said I was going to make super perfect Pokemon? I might not even compete. I was just clarifying some things, I would rather everyone know going into this tournament that I may be using a utility to create my Pokemon rather then keeping it a secret.
