I got Pokémon Black 2 today, and after going through Bianca's tutorial I go to through the tall grass to go meet Hugh and literally the FIRST Pokémon I encounter on the game is a Shiny Patrat.
Luckily Bianca hands out 10 Pokéballs, otherwise I would be screaming in rage right now.

Lucky SOB. I wish I had a shiny... so far though I'm really liking the layout of pokemon, probably moreso than any other game. I got 2 of my favorites on my team before I beat the second gym, it's awesome! Elekid and Growlithe, tearing shit up.

I just beat the 4th gym; Sandile owns, especially since the developers let it learn Rock Tomb.
In my opinion this game is a pretty good sequel to BW: still pretty similar, but just different enough to make you want to keep playing to find out everything. I might be getting a bit too serious about the Medal Rally...

It's the direct sequel, you follow the story with [spoiler]N leaving with Zekrom[/spoiler] and all the Pokémon some characters had that were exclusive.

Barely managed to take down the 4th gym this morning, I came in very underleveled (nothing above level 24 to start). I came in expecting Drilbur to be the team leader here, but he got damaged early and I resorted to using the rest of my team to do some damage. Unfortunately they couldn't do a ton, leaving Drilbur forced to sweep the team, and he didn't disappoint. Had to heal a few times to survive (taking a critical hit just a turn after healing, he would have fallen if not for that). He hit level 26 after taking down Zebstrika and Flaaffy, learning Slash which would be an incredibly timely weapon. In the end, he won a deathmatch with Emolga to finish the battle, with Slash being his only usable move. Hell of a fight.
