I got White 2 recently and I've been playing the crap out of it. I don't know any of the Pokemon beyond gen 2 so can someone rec a decent ground/rock type pokemon for my party? I pretty much have the other types covered for now.

Roggenrola is great. Sturdy with Stone Edge, Explosion, Sandstorm (to increase your SDEF by 1.5x) and Eartquake.

Wait are you talking a ground/rock dual-type specifically or is this "I want a ground or rock type"? If the latter, I'd throw in Drilbur and Excadrill.

Darmanitan with Sheer Power as an Ability, Flare Blitz and a Life Orb attached is one of the strongest Pokemon of all time.
Also, yes, Excadrill is the best Ground Pokémon

Gen III can migrate to Gen IV
Gen IV can migrate to Gen V
I assume Gen V will be able to migrate to Gen VI
I and II cant migrate to III due to how things were coded
