Server's Back Up - VeraLapsa - 02-07-2011

I F'd up spawn this morning to where you crashed when you went there.
It's fixed now i only took me the whole night to do what demon can probably do in 10 but it's fixed.

I had to revert back to the latest backup which was about an hour out of where we were so hopefully nothing much got reverted.

Sorry,
Faye

try 30 seconds

log in via ssh

minecraft stop
cd craftbukkit
mv world world-wolfwoodfuckedup
tar -xvf backup/world_full.tgz  (this extracts the latest full backup, world_incr.tgz is the latest incremental)
tar -xvf backup/world-whatever-thedate-you-want-is_incr.tgz  (tar ignores the fact that some of these files exist and simply overwrites them while they are extracting, which is what we need)

Epic.

tar -j > tar -z

If it compresses faster, I am all for it. If it simply has a better compression ratio, no thanks, stick with the standard.
