Great movie....

I rewatched the Matrix last night...a lot weirder than I remember, but I loved the whole existentialism being mixed in with some computer ethics.

Fun!

Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 01-17-2011

Just saw The Green Hornet. Pleasantly surprised. The action scenes were really good, but the story wasn't great. Two of my biggest gripes is that Seth Rogan is a huge dick in the movie; he goes too far, and that the first third of the movie is kind of boring. But with that said, the second-act really picks up and gave me a fun action movie. It's exciting, fast-paced, brutal, and stylish; Everything I enjoy in my popcorn flicks.

Re: The Movie Thread - Coelit - 01-17-2011

I recently saw "The Human Centipede"

That movie is fucked up.

Fantastic film, it's a shame they never make a sequel...

We've been meaning to watch that in my household.

Also been meaning to see moon.  And I thought The Last Airbender was supposed to be good? I liked the show but never watched it all nor in order.

Re: The Movie Thread - Hobospartan - 01-17-2011

The Last Airbender sucked, from what I heard.  Shamalamadingdong screwed the pooch on that one.

And Moon is fantastic.  Absolutely fucking fantastic.

Re: The Movie Thread - Luinbariel - 01-17-2011

The airbender cartoon is actually pretty good.

The movie?

Let us never speak of this again.

Re: The Movie Thread - [SiN] Merc - 01-17-2011

The airbender movie was great. I haven't laughed that hard at something Shyamalan directed since Lady in the Water.

Those 4 earthbenders doing a minute long dance of straight up effort all to move that one rock made my day.

Also, Karth, when do you get your movie nights back up? I want to watch moon bad now >.>

Re: The Movie Thread - Geoff - 01-18-2011

moon is ok

Re: The Movie Thread - Spore - 01-18-2011

I thought Moon was ultra badass. It's also directed by David Bowie's son. DAVID BOWIE.

After I got out of the theater I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. Watched it again and decided it was really good. And the sound track is pretty incredible.

I try to keep it bi-weekly, but it all depends on my schedule. If I remember I'll try and get a voting thread up tonight.
