I would not recommend this film.

Quentin Tarantino's The Dirty Dozen? Trailer looks a bit stupid. Could be good I guess.

Also the big payoff is pretty dissappointing at first but then kinda grows on you.

The writer of The Nines posted a bunch of dailies on his blog for people to cut a trailer for, I'd be interested to see if my take on the material was anything like the film.

Just rewatched O Brother, Where Art Thou. That movie makes me glad I'm alive.

The Fall. FUCKING INCREDIBLE. Seriously, I don't know why I hadn't heard of this before, but it's one of the most visually awesome movies I've ever seen. And although the writing isn't what I would call great, it's definitely good enough. And the kid is the most naturalistic child actor I've ever seen. And it has Lee Pace. Watch it. On a big tv if you can.

The Brothers Bloom Trailer

This looks sweet. I loved Brick.

Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 03-21-2009

Saw "Knowing" tonight.

The movie started awkwardly, got interesting, and then just got ridiculous. I mean, really ridiculous.

I can't recommend it. Some of the script is really AWFUL. Terribad awful. Especially most of the kids' lines.

So close to being a great film. I really wish it didn't have the campest baddies ever. Seriously, Richard fucking O'Brien. Some of the cinematography is next-level though.
