Replaces Capturing the Freemans as my favorite documentary.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thank you, Ianki!  This was talked about on SModcast, and I really wanted to check it out.. but forgot about it completely.  If it's better than Capturing the Friedmans, then it has to be daaaaaaaamn good.

that movie was a rollercoaster of emotions. great performances from Carrey and McGregor.

Re: The Movie Thread - Squishy3 - 07-09-2010

I enjoyed Book of Eli greatly.

Re: The Movie Thread - Ianki - 07-09-2010

I felt this way three years ago, but it was on cable tonight so i have to ask it again.

Why is Oceans 12 such an awful movie but oceans 13 so great?

Also, after watching the first two seasons of Sons of Anarchy, i rewatched Hell Boy II.  I know it was out shinned by Iron Man and The Dark Knight... but it is such a good movie.

Ron Pearlmen is the shit. (also Sons Of Anarchy is one of the best dramas still on TV, and i watch alot of TV)

Re: The Movie Thread - Black Aspen - 07-10-2010

So I decided to give The Last Airbender a shot anyways.........  I don't think it's as bad as people are making it out to be.  I'd say it was "okay" at best.  If I wasn't a fan of the original series, I probably would have absolutely hated it though.  They did a terrible job of introducing the story to a new audience.  Not knowing what it was going in, I probably would have disregarded it like some shitty modern fairy tale like Eragon or something.

I would also like to know this.

Re: The Movie Thread - Didzo - 07-11-2010

Watched Watchmen on HBO tonight.

Re: The Movie Thread - Live-Free-Or-Pie - 07-11-2010

Got back from Despicable Me. It's a good kid/adult dual-audience movie. Writing was pretty good, gags were funny. It exceeded my expectations, but it seems like they're trying REALLY hard to make this into a bankable franchise.

Re: The Movie Thread - HeK - 07-11-2010

Saw Hot-tub Time-machine last night, it was surprisingly entertaining.
A definite must rent.

Might see this later this week.

Re: The Movie Thread - Vlambo - 07-12-2010

I watched A-Team last night. Iy was alot better than I had expected. The Plot was a tad jumbled, but the action was solid, and anything with Liam Neeson is win (Except Episode One)

My sister saw that recently as well. I was shocked to hear she actually liked it, considering she hated Book of Eli.

It was decent. There are a couple of things that could have made it better.
