Yeah but it starts with a six minute crane shot and Charlton Heston plays a mexican with white skin and an american accent so i place it in the top ten films of all time.

So i watched Casino

Fuck sharon stone

Joe Pesci was amazing in it. PHONE RECEIVERS ARE WEAPONS.

I still think Frankie should have been played by george clooney only for the fact (spoilers) he gets to hit joe pesci with a bat (/spoilers)

except in 1994 clooney just got signed to ER and was a made-for-tv-nobody.

Re: The Movie Thread - [SiN] Merc - 11-08-2010

Had a MST3k run a bit ago. Watched Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, and A Touch of Satan. Both are damn good episodes, and I require more Mike Nelson to function.

Re: The Movie Thread - Wyrmidon - 11-08-2010

recently watched Magnum Force, The Enforcer, and Sudden Impact. Clint Eastwood owns.

All good movies, though the lighting (or lackthereof) in Sudden Impact can get a bit annoying, punk.

You'll thank me.

Also, I watched Bonnie and Clyde today. Rather good show. Really delivers on the performances.

Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 11-11-2010

Saw Megamind in 3d. First things first, if you plan on seeing it, skip the 3D. Nothing interesting here.

As for the actual movie, it's a heavy MEH that's only uplifted by how good the movie looks. I mean, this might be the best looking animated movie I've seen since Wall-E.

For as much of a Cinephile as you are Karth, your perspective is too jaded to accept your opinions on movies. Sad

huh.

I just share what I enjoyed and what I didn't. If anyone is really interested, by all means, go see it. I wasn't impressed, but it's not like I disliked it or anything. A chuckle here, a chuckle there, but never anything above that. Plot is kind of interesting, what with Megamind actually killing Metroman (not a spoiler, this happens very early on), but they never really go anywhere with it. Voice talent is just there; Nobody's really recognizable or tries to have fun with it.

It's just a standard Dreamworks affair. It's kind of disappointing, especially considering how good "How To Train Your Dragon" was.

I bet Megamind didn't really kill him, he just faked his death and stays low as a musician, another passion of his.

I get that they want to show people that there is good stuff in the movie, but they really need to stop making trailers with all the good part in it.

Don't watch TV lol. I pretty much only use our TV for movies or games. Now that they stopped re-running Whose Line I don't have much to watch.
