Made it to 13, I think I may drop AMS in favor of engineering.  Do you get good XP for healing stuff?  I'm trying to figure out ways to XP whore when no one else is on so I can get the added convenience of higher levels.

I think I'm gonna drop UniMax for advanced or combat engineering, maybe medic.  I was having fun with MAXs but their usefulness seems limited.  They are more cumbersome than an infantry and not as good as a vehicle.

Pretty much. They're very good at what they do, but since they're purely offensive tools (as opposed to support, as in rez/heal/repair/hack) they are very limited in what they can be applied effectively to.

They're brutal when used correctly though, see our AA max escorts for BFRs or any video on youtube of ninjas pulling AI/AV in an enemy occupied spawn. Caff & I used to do that - sneak in, hack out MAX units, slaughter the pajamas, blow the terms to keep them in pajamas, then blow the tubes. It was awesome.

As far as Advanced Engineering goes, I have yet to come across a situation where they're really useful, so for me its mostly a waste of certs. Expert Hacking, on the other hand, I use all the time.

Surf, if you don't have HA already, I'd recommend dropping Unimax, then getting the Heavy Assault and AA MAX certs.
