Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR)

Also, I'm curious. What are the differences between this and WoW or Guild Wars? I'm being serious, so please don't jump down my throat with some fanboy crap. What sets the two games apart from each other, besides the theme/universe/whatever you wanna call it? Detailed responses welcome.

I think that question really goes outside the scope of the thread. It would take too much effort to explain the differences between WoW / GW / WAR if you don't have previous experience with mmos, because I can't make a comparison to something you are already familiar with.

All I can really say is that they are the same in some ways ''press button for reward hamster man'' type gameplay , they just have different approaches to how to mask the task.

Reason why a lot of people are getting behind warhammer is because the developers are taking the 'stupid' out of MMO.

ie: crafting system , you can pick up the skill at level 1 and make good shit for yourself, you don't have to grind up to grand master level , then make shit for your alts. second point using crafting system. A lot of MMO craftign system is recipie based, you get the recipie , then the mats and make your potion. for Warhammer there's no recipie , you mix someting from columns a, b, c, and d and you get somethin from it. usable ? maybe? fail ? you get your mats back. if you got something nice , but wanted its duration to last longer , use a higher quality 'column B' ingredient . and so on.

warhammer is an MMO with a heavy influence on PVP as well. it's possible to level yourself entirely on pvp content. instead of grinding PVE mobs then going to a battleground.

Erm its called siege weapon. U can snipe from that from the Keep. I know this because I am awesome and I have. I am sorry but I would cry myself to sleep if they took this game away. Addicted. And if you are on my server maybe if they fix the silly Keep Master bug we will go storm every one we can before they reset our chars yet again. :S

We are now on Ungrim and yes we were looking for pvp silly. RVR is mostly what we do and we have been dominating the chars in the scenarios. I am currently a lvl 11 and my husband is a 12 but hopefully we do more tonight and get to some new content in the game. Pak'Cafan is my guild and we are a well known group of mature gamers. So come play wif us!!!!!!
