Any controller from a modern console works fine.  I mostly just use a 360 controller because I suck with a joystick.  However almost everyone that plays the PC version will beat your ass handily, so maybe you should stay away.  Unless you can get people from brb to play you, because they all suck.
Do we really want to start this?
Start what?  Get people to play again?  I remember we started a tournament bracket but then nobody played anything.
No, saying that everybody in brbu sucks. Versus doesn't suck as much, he picked up a decent amount compared to when he started. Tragic had previous street fighter experience, only the new adopters are the ones that aren't very good yet. LAG, Negate, Coppanuva, etc. Even then I gladly give tips and give them reference material to look up. Also I've yet to meet a *really* good player on random online yet on pc, you just knock them down, walkover them and block their wakeup dragon punches until they learn or you win.
Your don't seem to realize I'm just talking shit to try and motivate people to play, do you?  Also there is absolutely god like Abel I see on PC sometimes who will tear your shit to shreds.  I literally cannot even hit him, just a constant stream of block strings and mixups.
I play good Abels regularly, hell I play against constant blockstrings and mindgames all the time in real-life.

SFIV is done at noon today, so you are running out of time if you want to pick it up for $20.

And the first "whoa" of this thing finally hits:

Section 8...for $12.50? This is a pretty new release...

Edit: I mean, I get the complaints about this game and all. Not long enough single player story, the multiplayer has some issues, blah blah blah. But…this is a whole game for around the price of the Borderlands DLC?

Space-mariane combat. The coolest thing about the game is when you die, you choose a spawn point on the map, and you are rocket-dropped into the zone. You can surprise and push differently, and you can't get spawn camped at all. If a couple of you guys pick it up, I've heard the multiplayer is OK. I will probably get this when I get home.

Section 8 is pretty damn good, I played the beta.  Unfortunately the developers were somehow duped into not only using GFWL in the release product (which the beta didn't have at all, just a normal server browser), but trying to sell maps as DLC via GFWL in post release.  So they're basically fucked.

God what a tough choice. It would be easier if my rebates were in, I planned on blowing all of them on games.

I picked it up. It may have problems like Wedge goes into, but for 12 bucks it's a risk I'm willing to take.

Champions Online is on sale for anybody who can look away from the insane Steam sale. So far it looks like Section 8 and Civ 4 were the only really great deals. The icon is Torchlight for tomorrow, but do yourself a favor and get it through steam for the Cloud support and achievements.

I may not be updating this on Christmas or after. Thank you for reading; I hope you guys got some value out of this. Please lock this thread after Christmas.
