Call of Duty: Black Ops

The singleplayer is a fun ride and has a lot of really good big events that happen. It's worth playing.

I've loved single player in every CoD since MW, they're fun.


'specially since every one has some sort of "control the turret and rain death" level, that's fun.

Yeah they both are short, but good.  Big action movie styled stuff.  WaW had the weaker singleplayer of the three.  I don't know what they did to the singleplayer, but they made it a pretty miserable experience.  Not even Jack Bauer could help it.

Then the credits rolled and I realized I'd only been there for four hours...

Yeah they didn't really try with it.  Lame story, glitches, linear levels in a game that can be very open world.  Just crap and I thought the first one was fairly enjoyable.

Here's an update with alot of the multiplayer information they just revealed.  Though I was originally just kinda interested in the game, I am abit more now with what they are doing for the multiplayer.

I think there is alot of good stuff here and while it won't fix all the problems MW2 had (I fucking hate alot of the killstreaks), I like the idea of even more customization with your weapons and gear.  Also they removed stuff like Commando, Juggernaught, One Man Army, and Stopping Power and other things like dual super shotties and things like that.

Hopefully they do a better singleplayer game too, cause another 4 or 5 hour game like before would kinda suck and the singleplayer in WaW was not as good as it should've been and was kind of a step backwards AI wise I thought.

Theater mode is pretty neat.  Basically what Halo has done since Halo 3, but it's cool to see another game finally get around to doing it and seemingly doing it properly.

And yes that gun game type stuff is sweet to see as an official release.

Anyone else getting the game and on what?  I'm still deciding on which system at the moment.  While I have good friends that'll get it on the 360 (I have zero issues playing shooters on consoles), PC will have dedicated servers again, meaning customization, quality servers, and perhaps mods.

Nope.  Apparently IW is only allowed to touch their IWNet things, so it's left to dedicated servers on the PC which is pretty awesome.  It's easily the best thing as proven by CoD4.
