Content Idea - Podcast

Oh god, what do you want me to do?

If you can rough up an outline of how you want your part of the podcast to go. It would probably be good for the hosts to be the ones to talk about what's going on, new games, awesome maps, etc. Then if you want any guests for your portion then list that out. I'm thinking about 20 minutes of you and funbucks then about 20 minutes of segments? Give or take.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful here... but I'm not sure why you chose me to be the host? I'm not exactly into all the new maps or games, I'm sure there are others that are better suited to that? Don't get me wrong I'd love to help, but this seems like it's being put in the wrong lap.

We are re-opening the podcast subforum, so anyone who is serious about working on this let me know. Anyone who isn't serious can still be on it through a segment or whatever, but only those actively working on the show will have access. For everyone else it will be a surprise  ;D

You can do segments if you don't want to host. But you were co-host before and with Neonie gone I figured you were due for a raise? Let me know. You have seniority so it's your pick: host or segments. There isn't really any difference between host and co-host though.

I'd rather be in charge of some kind of segment. I just feel that the things you are saying you want the host to be responsible for would be better cared for with someone else, someone who's closer to the pulse of what's cool and new.

Ok, I kinda didnt reply for like 3 pages and pretty much got jacked on this, i don't really want to do a crazy scheduled podcast so im out, if you guys want to do that, thats cool.

i think he means he wanted to make a podcast, but then everyone jumped on it as an opportunity to resurrect the old brbu podcast which was set up in a way he didnt like.  in other words his shit got jacked.



excuse me if this is out of line but surf you kinda just started assigning people things and taking control when it was kind of his podcast  :-\

I can come up with some variety stuff... I have some ideas for a "you know what really grinds my gears in gaming" segments. I have a few other ideas, but I'm too tired to recall them now... some other time...

Just say the word and I'll help ya'll out.

Perhaps we could parlay some of our Movie night Rifftrax into episodes?

He can do his own podcast, but he came here to talk about a brbu podcast. We already had one in the works. I gave him complete opportunity to come in with as much say and content as he wanted. I was just trying to put together the framework to make this actually happen this time. He still had the opportunity to be the host and control most of what the podcast is. But if it carries the BRBU name than it's the BRBU community and everyone gets a chance to participate if they have something to contribute. And that is what I want to make sure happens.

If it has the BRBU name than it's a community thing and one of our strongest rules has always been that participation is open. There are no clicks, there are no elites. Funbucks had just as much of an opportunity to be host as the people that were here from the beginning and worked on the first podcast idea. I thought about all I've posted here and honestly I don't feel like I have anything to apologize for. He had a great idea if vague and I was trying to make it happen in a way that everyone could join the fun and instead of trying to work with me to make things the way he wanted he decided to pick up his toys and go home.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, in which case I'm more than happy to work with him to make this the way he wanted it. But it's still open to community participation and it's done right if it has the BRBU name. If he doesn't like that he's free to start a podcast under a different name with BRBU people.

I never specified brbu podcast, it never says that in the OP or the thread title. I'm fine with you guys doing this podcast, but I'm gonna probably organize a different, less structured show, and I'll just post a thread whenever we do an episode. I was just seeing if I could piece a few ideas together for some front page content.


I mean, I don't mind hosting either podcast, I'd probably have the free time to do both anyways.
