I think I'm going to get these headphones in conjunction with a clip on mic I have sitting around.

Also, what the shit. They jumped $10 in price since last night.

i like having open ear so I don't completely zone out my environment, you know, attacking ninjas or some shit.

Closed ear lets me zone out noise and listen to things without bothering people around me.

I don't think they are overkill at all, especially compared to what they charge for crap like the Beats headphones.

They don't do much for gaming since they aren't surround sound, but listening to music is amazing. Everything is clear and precise, so the listening experience is only limited by the quality of the recording. The only drawback to that is that low quality files and shitty recordings sound flat or simply bad.

Anyone know a good replacement in the 30-50$ range? Preferably something with a sturdy cable.
