The one SNES game I seriously need to own.  Now if they would just make a sequel for it and release it on the 3DS, that and Mega Man Legends 3 would make it a day one buy >_>

That. I'd pay money to play SMRPG in full 3D. Though, not sure the odds of Square Enix and Nintendo gettin back together to remake this are Sad

That said, I very much regret selling Luigi's Mansion. Sure it was only 6 hours and I beat it before I even bought a memory card, but it was fun. I even remember what I spent the money I got from that on. It was one of those damn GBA to Gamecube cords that was only used in like three games (Zelda Four Swords Adventure, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Pacman Vs.) Sure it was sorta fun, but I barely ever had a chance to actually play those with people!

They should totally remake Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS

Luigi's Mansion might not actually work so well on the 3DS. It had extensive use of the c and analog stick, a feature which the 3DS does not have.

Well the 3DS is getting an analog stick, and touch screen could (theoretically, I don't remember the control scheme) replace one of the sticks.

rented it when I was a kid..beat it. always wanted to own it, but never could manage to get it. By the time I started earning money as a kid it was the early N64 era.

those were the days man. I remember going into walmart and getting the SNES with my brother around christmas..the first games we got for it were Castlevania 4 and Mario Paint. Played those games to death...

I have LttP under my belt (don't think it counts as an RPG), what are the cliffnotes of that list?

Probably among the lines of Chronotrigger, Final Fantasy VI, Super Mario RPG, and others that I'm sure caff would be glad to talk about.

Also, it wasn't on the SNES, but Golden Sun and it's sequel were some awesome old school RPG goodness.

Square is full of dumb people that only care about releasing games with pretty CGI, they fired everyone creative or smart years ago. Even Mr. Final Fantasy left the company after IX

Nobody has heard of this game, barely anybody has heard of the show or comic, but Phantom 2040 was one of the best action games for the SNES.

I occasionally go off to write something really long and detailed about this game, but I'm a bit lazier than I used to be. Find it on Ebay for 2 dollars or find on internet for like, free. It fucking rules.
