Rocksmith on Steam

First day was shitty.

First the sound didn't work, so I spent two hours trying to find a config that it liked. Had to tell Windows Control Panel that my surround headphones were stereo, then all was right. Then found out that Steam users didn't have any of the RS2012 songs on RS2014.

Today it was announced that the songs had transferred! Well, just the DLC transferred for free. If you wanted to port the RS2012 on-disc songs, that's going to be another $10 fee.  >

Is it worth it? Yes. To me, it is worth it.

I'd picked up a combination tuner and capo, but the tuner never worked. I just kept it around as an expensive capo.

Yesterday I was playing Rocksmith 2014 and it had me tune up to get ready to play the next song. Then it told me "Now attach your capo at the second fret."

I blinked and thought "Well. Good thing I bought one weeks ago." and clamped it on, and I plucked each of the strings so that it could check the tuning again.

I invited Aeonwire over to eat a belated Thanksgiving dinner, and he brought his guitar.
So we plugged it into my battlestation and rocked out in multiplayer.

His guitar is a Wicked Mojo Designs cigar-box electric. I hope to have one of those in a few weeks.
