a whole new set of numbers to crunch!

[edit] color me annoyed that the permissions are set such that I can't save a copy of that spreadsheet [/edit]

[edit2] lol, the lasher actually is less accurate when aiming down the sights than it is when you're firing from the hip. [/edit2]

[edit3] interesting that the dumbfire rocket does nearly 1.3x damage than the AA one on direct hits. [/edit3]

Just got the originator of the spreadsheet to give me view-only Google Docs access, so I was able to save a copy of his spreadsheet. If anyone wants that data in handy easy-to-manipulate form, let me know and I'll give you access to my copy.

Yes for me too. These numbers look up to date based on my tests.

Hrm. Thought he would just update the original one, which I'd set up email triggers on. I'll ask.

[edit] Looks like the version I had was the one that was updated 11/29. He just updated it again last night, and I got an email this morning, and have reshared another copy with Ianki and yourself. [/edit]

Updated spreadsheet with data for Serpent Carbine for LA and engineer.
Serpent data's determined from in-game testing.
BS dam - 5.72
HS dam - 11.44
Mag 30/150
t/mag 2.15
REL 2.70
13.95
79.79
159.59

7 body shot
4(3.5)head shot

VX6-7
BS dam - 5.72
HS dam - 11.44
mag  30/150
t/mag 2.20
REL 2.20
13.64
78.00
156.00

7 body shot
4(3.5)head shot

Less than 0.01 second difference in All TTK's

Comparison to VX6-7 recoil and spread.
Pattern Key:
(Left - Uncompensated ADS recoil from reticule point, Center - Compensated ADS recoil, Right - Compensated Hipfire recoil)
So... No real difference here except direction.

Serpent has the same cert unlocks available for it including the soft point ammo.

So... This IS the VX6-7 except its blue, and has a leftward pull instead of right.

Updated spreadsheet with Parallax data.

Body Shot
[Image: parallax.png]

Parallax
BS dam - 30
HS dam - 60
Mag - 5/25
t/mag - 6.5
rel t - 4.0
rof - 0.77
bs dps - 23.1
hs dps - 46.2

Compare to:
V10
BS dam - 30
HS dam - 60
Mag - 5/25
t/mag -6.0
rel t - 4.0
rof - 0.83
bs dps - 25
hs dps - 50

Ghost(SS)
BS dam - 30
HS dam - 60
Mag - 5/25
t/mag -5.0
rel t - 3.2
rof - 1.0
bs dps - 30
hs dps - 60

The Parallax is worse than both V10 and Ghost in terms of ROF, DPS, and reload time. Apparently it's advantage is 650 projectile velocity up from the V10's 600.

Thorbinator has released an update for the DEC 6 patch. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?k...rue&gid=12

The only issue I have is that it reads the Parallax damage as 32 instead of the 30 that I get from ingame testing.

I tested the laser point and compensator on carbines and nyx with interesting results.

On carbines I could only test them individually. I got 29% hip cof reduction for the laser point and 12% reduction in vert. recoil with 18% increase in hip cof on the compensator. Having both applied directly should net a 11% reduction in hip cof and a 12% reduction in vertical recoil. However I found that on the nyx(the only weapon i have both of these mods), having  a compensator and laser sight on at the same time gives you a 29% hip cof reduction and a 12% vertical recoil reduction.

This means that the compensators increase in hip cof is not just subtracted from the laser sight bonus(29%-18% = 11%), but is completely replaced by it(29%). The laser point mod seems to completely supercede the compensator mod in terms of hip cof. This means that if you have compensator, you can not only remove the hip cof disadvantage, but push it into a huge advantage with the laser sight.

I don't know if this is a bug or not. Anyone with compensator + laser point that can confirm or deny this with a different weapon?
To test this simply add the mods to your gun, use printscreen or take a screenshot of your reticule, then open the screenshot in paint or some image editor. Use the "selection" tool to select either the vertical or horizontal ticks on the hip reticule. This will give you the number of pixels it takes up. Repeat this process with the mods off. Pixels with mods on divided by pixels with mods off should give you the cof reduction.

Does anyone know the best AI weapons for the MAX? I think that is what I'm going to invest some of my triple SC in.

It's one of the upgraded ones, but I'm not sure which. Blueshift? [edit] Found a spreadsheet, here: https://docs.google.com/a/at0m.org/sprea...HNXc#gid=0 [/edit]

Also Grin I noticed you'd requested access to the original spreadsheet, good deal. I won't bother recreating it any more.

It looks like it is between the Cosmos and the Blueshift, with the Cosmos giving the best flat DPS across all ranges and the Blueshift giving the best DPS until 40m. I wonder if it is worth mixing and getting one of each?

[/quote]I'd trial them each first. If the accuracy is utter crap, then it may not be worth having the extended damage at long range.

Personally, the only time I get into a MAX is to run AA, so I doubt I'll be buying any of those weapons at all.

The Cosmos seems to have a much smaller cone of fire. It also has more accuracy bars in game. Kind of odd you would think it would be the reverse.

If you are trying to engage targets beyond Medium range with an AI max you're doing it wrong
