I spent so much time in the original, as did a lot of you.

Anyone own this?  What's been "improved"  ?

Have a friend who got it and (still) loves it.
He was a HUGE original fan, the update apparently is great according to him.

When it was launched on Steam and they posted on Google+ someone posted this
Quote:i'll wait GOG version with "one world one price" rule
http://i.imgur.com/8O999ho.png that's just nonsense
and without steam achivements it's a bit lame

To which I had to reply
Quote:I agree...without a "do something get a cookie" there's no point in ever playing any game... you know... just like for a dog there's no point in sitting when they ask you unless you get a treat at the end. Accomplishing things within the game itself is never rewarding... ever.

I don't think I was quite sarcastic enough...

been playing it on and off for a bit now - reading reviews the consensus is that this version was made for the purpose of being ported to tablets and mobile.

if you have the legal rights to the original then you'd be better off with applying the fan patches and bringing it into BG2 engine. (most noticable feature missing is being able to go above 1024 resolution)

Wait, they didn't even bother putting in higher resolutions in the Enhanced Edition?

Baldur's Gate 2 was a bit easier on the eyes, I think.
