I just rolled a pretty awesome Paladin arena deck. Why would you ever pick anything but Pally or Mage in arena?

Rogue is actually pretty good.  Shaman can  be good too, but it's more pick dependent.

I need to rebuild some constructed decks.  I think I'll try to push to rank 10 this weekend.

Just to agree with everyone:
top tier- mage and pally
also fully capable of 12 wins- rogue

I think I find less consistency with rogue, however.

I have, however, been enjoying play mode more now that my decks are actually competent.

The resulting surplus of gold has allowed me to be more casual about arena choices and pass up on a paladin for a lesser class to complete quests and just play something different.

I want to like constructed, but I just don't have the dust for any deck that isn't aggro/zoo. And here my favorite class is druid. So I pretty much play enough ranked to get to 15 each month, then only do Tavern Brawl and Arena otherwise.

How much dust do you have? do you have any of the druid epics? It's a class that's pretty viable but it does take a bit of investment to make work.

It's pretty affordable for how many legendaries you get. Also sludge belcher is almost always great.

My only decks are 
mech mage (ranked) 
druid (fun, late)
oil rogue (just made it).

I just run my druid in non-ranked play with the usual ramps and a bunch of taunt to hold me over until Kel Thu'Zad comes out.
It also helps that I got really lucky and pulled troggzor from a pack.
Not rated as super competitive but I love him

It's like Blizzard doesn't know how to nerf something without completely destroying it.  They might as well have removed Warsong Commander from the game.  Now it's just another shitty card for warriors to get in arena.

It's funny that it's almost a strictly worse version of Raid Leader now. You've got other class cards that are similar in effect, but also strictly better, or at least have better synergy with other class cards (Warhorse Trainer, Timber Wolf). I understand that charge is a non-interactive mechanic, but unusable cards are unfun, too.

Combo warrior isn't dead.  I've seen a raging wargen combo deck that can get up to 40 damage.  It's just more like other combo decks where its hard to pull off and can require cycling through most of your deck.  However, the only reliable ladder warrior deck is wallet warrior now.

With all those whirlwinds and stuff Grim patron should still be a playable card in warrior, just not a win-condition.

I think they could've made warsong commander's charge effect a battlecry so that you could only pull the crap for one turn. I'd be happy with that compromise.

First time I've had a double legendary pack:



The incredible part is that those are two of the very few classic legendaries that I was actually missing.  (The only semi-playable one that I'm still missing is King Mukla)

But anyway I made a dragon priest because I realized it was very inexpensive to make given I had already pulled Ysera from a pack.

I know that dragonkin sorcerer and dark cultist are questionable to be included, but wanted to see what variations you guys are running and would suggest.

Makes a lot of sense for them financially.

I think removing packs from the store is a really stupid idea, I know you can still craft stuff and that's how I get most of what I want but seriously, it's dumb.

I'm not sad to see mad scientist go away though, getting a 3 drop trap spell in mage for a 2 drop 2/2 is really, really overpowered from a costing perspective.
Same with avenge, +3/+2 for 1 mana? blessing of kings cost 4 times that for less than 2 times the effect. Granted, you can't drop and surprise with avenge like you can with blessing so it's somewhat apples to oranges.

And oh man no sludge belcher, aggro decks rejoice. Be ready to see a lot of face hunter and face shaman in standard ladder.

I can't wait for Standard. I hope they start clearing the bad RNG out of the game and keep going with good RNG like discovery.

Standard being good relies so much on the balance changes they introduce and what the expansion holds.

We'll see.

I'm not really interested in standard at the moment, I have to get better at the game right now before I start limiting my card options. So I'll be hoping on the best wild band wagon when the expansion comes out.
