I gave my bedroom/workshop a name, the Breadboard Bakery Studio. And then people started bringing instruments over.

Instead of buying Auralex you're better off building your own panels (like this.) It ends up being cheaper and easier to customize/adjust. Plus if you move they are easy to take with you.

That's brilliant. Way nicer than gluing wedges into a ceiling tile and hanging a frame behind that, which was my last idea. I know more than one fabric maven in town, and can make these in a day. I'll come back with updates.

Bumping this with my latest remix. Worked pretty hard on this, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Basically, Adventure Club are my favorite producers and have been a huge inspiration to me. When I saw they were having a remix comp for one of their tracks, I couldn't resist. My remix is what I like to call "chillstep", dubstep without the more overpowering/grimy electro sounds (so more liquid/deep). Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'd love to hear what you have to think.

In case you want to hear the original: http://soundcloud.com/adventureclub/wond...ite-string

And if you really like it and don't mind helping me out at the expense of liking a few pages on Facebook, you can vote for it in the competition here: http://wavo.me/pulses/9771368753010000 Wink

When, and only when, I'm good and fucked up.

The first time I ever took my equipment someplace other than home and played for people other than family was when I brought an axe and amp to the hotel where CaffeinePowered and at0m and RoseSpirit were staying, and then only busted through my shyness to play once I had extracted a heavy toll from Caff's liquor supply and was properly fucked up.

Playing drums for a band, I learned that there is a severe line in the sand when it comes to using alcohol as a creative lubricant..
Our band liked to drink a lot, and there were around 12 members, and once you hit a certain point everything falls to shit.
That was also kind of our schtick though & I think people liked the energy we brought when we were kerjiggered as much as they liked the music when we weren't.

It's not that I don't love my tele, it's awesome even if it is a knockoff. The Strat gives me the tones and playability I need in order to learn guitar at the pace/comfort I want. It was an impulse buy, I walked into the shop as they were just taking the strat out of it's box to tune it and set it up for display for sale. It was literally brand new, and the dude who tuned it up called the shop owner over and was like "play this for a second," so the owner picks it up and diddles around with it and is like "wow really" and I'm standing nearby and he's just like "you play, right? here check this out" and I swear to god its the best sound I've heard come off of a squier. The two dudes were baffled at how well put together this thing is, the resonance is incredible. And it's a Fender, so I was like oh man I gotta have this. I picked it up for $190, which I feel is a steal. That said, I'm a bassist before a guitarist and I'm probably going to either pawn off the tele or sell it to someone who wants it. It's a Jay Turser that I got for $150. It's not bad, but I really do not see myself playing it after having the strat. If you were nearby I'd just give it to you, Rummy.

Six months from now you may feel differently about your old T-type Plank.

I have been building a guitar stomp box effect from scratch and it is way more fun when I have total control over the circuit instead of a closed box and a couple of tone knobs.

There are YouTube clips of this over on my thread in the BRBU Gadgets forum: Bad-Ass Distortion Build Log

I'll give you $100 for it, shipping costs on your side, if I like what it looks like.

Oh god I can't habeeb I didn't have a picture of it on here already. Dang, sorry for the late response.

Here's it
[Image: pgV6Uqb.jpg]

it's like that eggshell/ivory. I adjusted the bridge so that the open and twelfth frets matched (and, consequentially, those in between)

all the hardware is good and i've replaced the strings once with ernie ball cobalts

Bumping dis.

One of my friends suggested I go back and rework my DnB track that was on the Reddit compilation. He thought it would sound cool with a slower tempo, so I went for it and ended up with that. Critique away.

That's it. 5 years since stopping, I want to pick up the piano again. It's too much to listen to a piece and just be content with pretending to be able to play it. I need to buy a new keyboard, and I have to learn everything over again--theory, technique, and I really really really have to train my ears this time around.

Since my apartment is tiny, I need recommendations for a compact keyboard. Which of these seem like a good idea?
Korg SP1790
Casio PX150
Yamaha P35B
Yamaha P105B

I'm starting this summer.
