I'll start depositing my trade funds into the guild periodically. Working from home lets me do a lot of trade runs. I'll start earning more once I can get a ship and a nicer cart with cart equipment

I can't seem to figure out how to deposit silver into the guild.  I mean, I've found the button but nothing happens when I click it.  We should do a guild trading quest for some guild money sometime soon and we can get that ball rolling.  You will have to walk us through it on Mumble though.

Edit: Actually it looks like the best quests to start with are gathering quests.  Some of the trade quests require you to be at a certain level to acquire the goods, and you don't know that going in.

So after some digging, we can not deposit directly into the guild, only guild activities (like guild quests) can earn funds into it.

However deposits are unlocked IF the guild starts to go bankrupt.

Unless the button is grayed out just because I'm marked as "General" but I'm not sure.

I think you are correct, I've tried to deposit and no dice.  But good to know that if we fail some missions we can replenish.

Also new patch out today adding the ninja classes.  I'm gonna make my Ginja!

This weekend there is bonus combat XP and they are giving everyone a lucky box that could have some crazy things in it. I got a black stone, which I think is lower on the luck scale. You can get a liverto weapon! Those go for like 20 mil on the marketplace!

I've been fiddling a lot lately with gathering and crafting.  Promoting materials from one tier to the next adds a lot to their marketplace value, but some of the advancement knowledge is locked behind gathering/crafting quests.

I crafted two pieces of Talis armor, and I just need six black crystals to make two pieces of grunil armor, but the marketplace has been devoid of those, so I'm debating switching my armor crafting house to a weapon crafting house and making a new blade for my guy.

This website features a gathering map which can lead you to specific resources. It also has a horse calculator if you intend to do any horse breeding.

I'm still sticking mostly to trading and drop pickups

I haven't had much time to play lately, but I did finally manage to tame a female horse.  Apparently there's only about 1 female horse for every 10 male horses when it comes to taming them in the wild.

SO after getting the female horse, I leveled it up a bit and bred it with my tier 2 male, and produced a tier 3 female. I'm currently trying to get the female to 20(she's 13 now), and then I'll breed it with a level 19 tier 2 horse, which will give me a decent chance at a tier 4, and a small chance at a tier 5.

You can also "exchange" horses, which is like a breeding, except you use dark rituals, sacrifice both horses, and receive a horse instantly. I got another tier 3 female when I did that. If I get a t4 male from the first tier 3 + tier 2 breeding, I can breed the tier 3 with a tier 4 male, which should give me a pretty good chance at a tier 5 or 6 once they're sufficiently leveled.

Hauling cargo is the fastest way I've found to level horses.

I got to Calpheon and it's amazing how the game opens up from there. I think level 45ish is when you really start experiencing the content.

They are having a "catch-up" event until the 1st. 30% extra XP and its easier to get black stone drops.
