Hey, i was wondering how you can set up a server just for like when i have a friend that has tf2 over also, and we both just play in my server.
I know how to do it in CS:S but in tf2 its different. Thanks. i might be wrong, but you can make a private lan server, and then set sv_lan to 0? I know this has worked in mods, i never had to try it for tf2

Wow you guys are making this difficult. Start TF2, there's a start game or host game button somewhere right there on the main menu. Pick a map, start the game, he'll see it in LAN games if he's on the same router as you.
