but we could also just photoshop labels on things.  Google maps would be a great system to help us view the picture though, as it would split it into smaller pictures.

you guys are whining about hard earned work yet you travel to find new land for new buildings, essentially the same idea of getting a new map
when new biomes are in place, put in new map. its simple

I've got three houses now, and I care for all of them. I go back to them regularly and work on things around them. They are quite a ways away from each other too.

Plus it's always cool to see how the server has progressed.  From the urban sprawl of central to the more urban sprawl of Cielo to the random cottages in the wilderness.

Yup, I have three now, building a fourth.  One of mine ended up being on too small a plot of (is)land, so I turned it into my teleporter hub.  My first, in cielo, is still awesome and I'm still working on adding to it whenever I get more ideas.  My third, in Rapture, is empty but fun to visit (because it's freaking under water).

Probably because Minecraft is WoW, Everquest and EVE Online, it's a massive time-sink. Anyone who's built anything substantial has invested an equally large amount of time, and hergo said built thing has tangible value to the builder.

[/quote]Nah, some idiot burned it down, and I didn't feel like rebuilding so I chipped out a tile in the lava pocket and let it spill down cause it looked badass.

There's this tiny little body of water on top of this huge cliff on my new island.

Its pretty pretty at night with a few torches.

Also, bad ass waterfalls.

Also, just found another dungeon, but this one required mining only a single block (because the opening was only one block tall).  Easy-access feather factory now.
