That's pretty much why I hate fly mods. It completely ruins the sense of scale of how large the world is. With flying enabled, while one person likes to play vanilla will walk the full 10 minutes back to his house, while the other guy will just fly over in a few seconds. It's not "don't like it don't use it" because it ruins the game for people who think flying around is cheap and makes them feel cheated.

I mean, why bother making a staircase for that tower when everyone'll just fly up anyways?

I just try to build what I want, where and how I want, without making a huge issue for other people. I don't think about how people are going to get to the top of a tower. I just build it because it makes me happy.
