Yes, Welcome Fozy.  Before you, we would have never turned a thread, intro or otherwise, into a discussion on the finer points of booze.

Lest you disparage American brews too much, there are some fine breweries such as Dogfish Head, Victory, Brooklyn, Allagash, Sierra Nevada and others that make a fine beverage.  Maybe not Reinheitsgebot, but then again, lambic is not Reinheitsgebot either.
