Popularity != good book

Same goes true for movies, I doubt the highest grossing summer blockbusters would ever compare to things like Gone With the Wind, Citizen Kane, or Casablanca.

What?
Just trying to make a point about movies, this list reads like they would list just the 'most popular' books rather then those that were the most thought provoking
I still don't understand your list? Gone With The Wind was the top grossing film of all time and Citizen Kane is critically regarded as the best. I'm not trying to be a dick, I just can't decide what point your list was making. I agree mostly with the sentiment though, except TDK was one of the better films I've seen.

Just a point that picking Harry Potter as number 1 in book terms would be like picking last years summer blockbuster as the best movie of all time as opposed to older classics.

Looks more like the top 100 books of the last 5 years with a few classics thrown in for kicks...

<+Karrde> welp, time to learn some basic patterning skills
<@Negate> 12121212121212121212
<@Negate> there is a simple pattern
<+Karrde> I changed my mind.  Gonna cosplay as a gay demon from hell and get negate raped instead XD
<+Caffeine`work> Karrde: Gay demon? Why would you need to cosplay just go as yourself
<+FlyingMongoose> Caffeine`work: Karrde would actually have to tone it down some.

Eragon and Eldest were boring, and i enjoyed reading all 7 Harry Potter books, even if they are easy, simple, and with the worst ending ever, the thing that makes a book great isn't how much complicated it is, or how many lessons for your life it give you. I like it just because they are FUN :3

Also, no LAtin american writer D:? WHERE THE FUCK IS GABRIEL GARCIA MARQUEZ!?
I liked Eldest for what it was, Brisingr is really good though. You guys my not think that, but I liked it quite a bit.

also where is Artemis Fowl Sad I love that series so much.

You must be joking, The Dark Knight was a good super hero movie with a great performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker... I didn't find the movie that mindblowing... It was one of the better movies I've seen this year but for me it doesn't rank in my top 10 movies, maybe in my top 50 but I'd have to think long and hard about it. All the hype this movie got (from people, not trailers) might have influenced me but this wasn't the masterpiece people led me to believe it was. If anything, Ledgers performance was great but the rest just didn't phase me too much. Especially Bale who put up a mediocre performance for his doing...

Anyway, poll everyone now and modern popular series will bubble to the top, that's just the way it is...

Signature temporarily out of order until I get off my lazy ass to fix it.

#1 reason people don't buy Vampire 4th Edition sourcebooks.

Actually, 4th Edition seems to be a curse for RPGs in general.

Clearly you need to lurk moar...

I was dropping in a lame 4chan joke. Because so much shit goes on there, whenever someone posts a picture or talks about the missionary position, the responses are always "OMG you're fucking sick, that's disgusting why would you do that" etc.

Its a pun on how much disgusting shit actually is posted there.
