GARBAGE.

However, I did get the keyswitch tester thing on Massdrop as well more recently, and I think I like clears/browns. Too bad I can't find a reasonably priced supplier for an entire bank of keyswitches to replace the ones in this keyboard, but now that I've typed that its one of the more ridiculous things I've said given how dissatisfied I am with everything else on the keyboard so I should probably just sell it or perhaps just use my period key more often.

I want a mech keyboard for work, a quiet tactile one, since my hands hurt from the laptop-style Dell one I have with rubber domes.
Is it a Ducky Shine 3?
Ducky 9008 G2 Pro, and I got a set of PBT sideletter keycaps to put on it, that's what I was bitching about blocking the *lock lights.

The one I have has a black body, and black keys, although it came with red WASD. The backlight is only on WASD, instead of the whole keyboard which is what I wanted and if I'd researched it instead of just going off of the info on massdrop I probably would've realized that.
Really sorry to hear that...  If you are on the lookout for another mechanical keyboard definitely check out Geekhack.  It's a massive forum all about keyboards of all types, tons of very knowledgeable people on there.  In fact, you might even be able to sell your Ducky while you're at it, though you really need to build up a bit of a reputation first.

As far as replacements go, I am super satisfied with my Ducky Shine 2.  It's similar to that but every key is backlit and it comes in a variety of colors and switches ( I got reds, which I actually like a lot, despite the ever-prevalent typing mistakes).  It really is a member of the Cadillac class of backlit mechs.  Other great brands are WASD, FILCO, and DAS if you really want a mechanical's mechanical.  And Cooler Master and even Razer have some highly rated mechs-for-less.

All you need now are some RGB LED strips behind your desk and monitor and you'll be set.
You are the winner of us all
So I've been using my Ducky 9008G2 with Cherry Reds at work and didn't like how harsh the throw was, and felt self-conscious about the sound. Got myself some red O-Rings and put them on this morning, it's now about the same volume as the Dell keyboard I used to use, but is much more pleasant of a typing experience.

I got these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AZQ3966/ and there were enough to do all the studs underneath the keycaps (including having three on each of the larger keys like shift and spacebar) with four left over.
So I finally got my mechanical. I bought 2; a HHKB Pro 2 and a Realforce 55g, switched out the springs and rubber from the Realforce into the HHKB. So I'm sporting a 55g HHKB Pro 2. Feels good, man. Nice having a good job.
examimo you are a naughty lurking strumpet.
I want this keyboard but it costs money: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-...roduct_top
I shall issue a "told ya so" and step away:

Did anyone buy one? Who exactly did you tell so?

Why Razer keeps using Cherry MX Blue switches on their 'gaming' keyboards is beyond me....

They don't the article specifically says they don't but they 'feel like it'.
Anything but Topre or buckling springs is child's play.
The Ducky Shine Mini keyboard (without the ten-key) is on Massdrop.

Choice of MX Cherry Red, Blue, or Clear(!) switches.
I finally gave in and ordered a Corsair K70 with MX Brown switches and red backlighting.
All I can say is: DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA

Also, the brushed aluminum and raised keys look very nice.
Apparently some of the RGB keyboards out there are getting in trouble for not having the "16.8 million colors they promise"... the only manufacturer who is NOT in trouble from it?  Razer.
Razer uses Cherry MX Greens, which are Blues with stiffer springs. http://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_MX_Green
