New raven build?

I'm just not a huge fan of SRM 6s. They are hard to hit at range and kinda slow. The only success I have with them is with my Huginn assassin build.

SRM 6s on a Huginn? You know Huginn gets the fire rate boost to SRM 4s, right?

Yea I goofed I have the SRM 4s on my Huginn. I have SRM 6s on my Stalker 5M and it has literally done 0 work every time I pilot it. I think my top damage in it is 180. I'm just not a fan of missiles in general.

Stalker is slow as balls and you have to aim SRMs well
On the trial champion raven I've done a lot of alpha-peaking and the missile do fairly well. So much better than the old MW games where they fired one missile at a time in a stream.
The only complaint that I'd have is that they spread damage over an area, but they also nicely shake the screen - making it harder to return fire.

[/quote]that's one of the best arguments for running crowds of SRM-2's on chainfire if you've got the tonnage/hardpoints for it.

My Stalker 4N build
Was playing this on viridian bog conquest and thought to myself this map isn't stellar for snipin'. Ended up surviving and doing 855 dmg with a match score of 120. This thing is ridiculous. Trade with anyone any time
unless you're a king crab
Ok, trying to build something so I get more points and cbills faster. Been using the TDR9S based on the CW reccs. unfortunately it plays poorly in solo/group. Seems ER PPCs are very disadvantaged since you're almost never at that range and the projectiles move super slow. I can see how it'd be more useful in CW since you have more choke points.
Based on this original build:

These are the changes to make it more brawl friendly:
http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=155&l...a12351e579
Disadvantages I'm noting are that it moves one heat sink into the arms. I get armed a lot so my cooling would go with it. I'm toying with the idea of stripping some armor from the legs and puting it in the arms instead. I never seem to get legged. People usually try to core me or kill the torsos. That way I could have better shield arms. Â Thoughts?

You should be able to find sniping opportunities in queue. A normal ppc starts dropping in dmg after 540m which isn't super far. Also ERPPC's don't have a minimum range and that's huge in brawling. Just stay at the deep back of the deathball

I do, some of the time. It just seems to net poor personal gains. And I have a hard time brawling due to how hot everything runs, so I get smoked. Basically I can't toe to toe out DPS most other mechs. Especially when they get up in my grill. I have had a few spectacular runs of like 400+ dmg. Usually when I have more ideal conditions.
*edit*
Keep in mind my goal right now is to maximize my cbill collection so I can actually build a decent drop deck.
I've seen that build in action and it's nasty.
Also, the AC/2 DWF is even more gross when you factor in that people use external programs to rig fire groups to machine gun them.
