Trying this for a 5SS. Probably going to do a 9SE next so I can get elite and have some decent heavier punching mechs. Then I'll prolly work on wolverines.

I just did 240 damage on a throwaway brawl game. Throwaway since most of my team decided that engaging the enemy was sidequest content to sitting on the back cap points and defending. I imagine if I can use this thing at decent range that it should be a good poker and not completely horrible in and around the brawl. I imagine it'd be good at finishing stuff off and blowing off body parts.

If you want to do long range surgery, get the target info gathering module. It'll help you get the detailed info faster so you know what to target.

Chain-Fire dis bitch

You don't need to anymore, they just took off ghost heat for 3 large IS lasers of any kind.

Its not about ghost heat rather than a continual stream of fire that does not stop
messed with the build for my nova prime and its good. but I'm not sure of what to do to max out the dps for a laser brawler build.

I like the idea of a v6 TC in there; I'll tell you from my own experience on my Nova-Prime testing those Med Pulses: You just can't cycle safely enough. Heat build vs. the cycle time on them is really a tough Heat juggle. I notice your armour is considerably lighter too; Nova hitboxes are complete shit, you need all the help you can get being so easy to hit.

Maxing the dps is why people swap the torso's for the S/B variant Ballistic slots. 4x Machine guns pumping against a stripped component is seriously a shitton of dps. Your v6 TC will add even more umph to the MG's, at only a 3-4 Ton investment.
i had them and then stripped them as they usually didnt seem to do anything when i got into brawling but i do think i need to give the mg another chance on my torso now with the tc VI
Been toying around with a build for the Hunchback 4SP...I like my 4P© and Linebacker builds

The sadist in me wants to run this
I've run that flamer nova build, and it's awful.

My current PNT-10K® build It stomps face double hard after it's been elited. Modules are UAV, Cool Shot 9, and eventually ERPPC Cooldown and SRM6 Cooldown, since ERPPC Range isn't a module ingame for some reason.
Been having a lot of fun in this champion blackjack from the sale. It's a 45 ton medium to fill a 45,65,65,65 CW drop deck.

I do run out of AC ammo fairly often but it usually happens during landslide victories. I might actually change it if I play it in cw but I like this build for playing queue

I'd dump a Medium laser for the ammo capacity and heat efficiency. You could easily cycle those mediums for days. Better dps, never going dry.

The first one (AC5, 4x SL) looks hilarious, but you should figure out how to wedge at least a single jump jet into it for hill climbing and negating fall damage.

The second one (4xMG, LL, ML) I'm a little more skeptical about, especially since you forgot to put AMS ammo into it. I think 2x MPL would fit it a little better than LL/ML, but I'm not sure what the rest of the tonnage would get spent on.

The third one (2x LL) can go Endo/Ferro and use the extra half-ton for more armor, or shave a little more for another heat sink.

Props for putting an XL180 in it, I didn't think it would end up with enough usable pod space to be usable after swapping from the STD60. I'd love to see an 2x AC/2 build on it, but I think the best you can do without dropping the engine down is 2.5t of ammo which isn't really enough.
Yea, they're by no means optimized, but it just shows that you can have something *viable* with an urby, by default you have to do an XL130 and put in 4 double heat sinks, after that its whatever tonage you have to work with.

I spectated a guy earlier today running an AC/2 and 4 Small Lasers. He wasn't setting any damage records but he was certainly annoying guys

All things considered you probably shouldn't be topping your team as a light though, but while the 130XL isnt as fast as a firestarter or a raven, the 360 torso twist and super low profile of the mech I think could make it very annoying.
With the 180 it's going as fast as the Kitfox, and that's enough speed for that thing to be a monster even though it's slow for a light. I definitely think it's viable, although it'd be hilarious to park that thing on a tower somewhere and just snipe with it with an AC/2, 2 PPCs, or Gauss, plink plink plink.

Not that it makes a huge difference, but according to smurfys, you have enough tonnage left over to max out your head armor.
